A Capella Album kommt im April!

A Capella Truppen von Colleges aus ganz Nordamerika singen Ben Folds' Songs - das Ergebnis ist das neue Album "Ben Folds Presents: University A Cappella". US-Release wird am 7. April sein.

Ben ist stolz wie Bolle: "If this were Ben World, this would be my greatest hits album. I'd rather this be my greatest hits record than someone collecting my masters and slapping on a photo of me leaning against a piano. This is a better way. I'm a songwriter, and these are my songs."

Der Künstler selbst versucht sich auf der Platte mit den Songs "Boxing" und "Effington" ebenfalls im A Capella Genre.

Das Album wurde von Ben Folds himself, seiner Frau Fleur und Joe Costa in mühsamer Kleinstarbeit aufgenommen. Das hat sich nach eigener Aussage wohl gelohnt: "I consider this my new record... I'm incredibly proud of this".
