Es scheint, als ob auch die Alt-Metalhelden Iron Maiden inzwischen auf den Free-Download-Zug aufspringen würden: Bald wollen sie auch den neuen Fans die Möglichkeit geben, kostenlos in die Songs der 80er Jahre reinzuhören. Auf www.ironmaiden.com kann man das Best-Of-Album 'Somewhere Back In Time' ab der Albumveröffentlichung am 12.05. (gekoppelt an die VÖ in den USA) runterladen, doch nur drei Mal \"probehören\".

Manager Rod Smallwood begründet diese Idee folgendermaßen: \"From the amount of tickets sold there are a lot of people coming to our shows this year who won't have seen us before, so this is intended for them as an introduction, similar to previoius ones of this nature.\"

Das 'Best-Of '80-'89'-Album wird es ab dem 09.05. sowohl als DRM-free Download und als physisches Album zu kaufen geben.
