Vielleicht können wir das Thema in sechs Tagen, wenn 'In Rainbows' tatsächlich zum Download bereit steht, alle nicht mehr hören, soviel wie bei und um Radiohead momentan passiert. Jetzt hat das Management der Band bekannt gegeben, dass Thom Yorke und seine Kollegen trotz des vorläufigen Eigenvertriebs der Download- und der Box-Version des Albums auf der Suche nach einem Label seien, um das Album optimal zu vertreiben.

Manager Chris Hutton sagte dazu auf BBC Radio 4: \"We've got about seven days to sort it out. We tend to fly by the seat of our pants. The band think they [are] incredibly proud of this record and feel that it deserves to be brought into the mass marketplace. That's why we need a record company who have that infrastructure to deliver the CD.\" Er fügte hinzu, dass man im Radiohead-Lager glaube, dass die weltweit gleichzeitige Veröffentlichung des Albums ein großer Umkehrmoment für die gesamte Musikindustrie sein könnte: \"It's just another way of doing things. Hopefully it will motivate artists and record labels to think about things a lot more and not accept the status quo.\"

Huttons Partner Brice Edge fügte hinzu, die Band vertraue darauf, dass die Leute das Album nicht gratis herunter laden: \"We're prepared to take a risk. If your music is great, people will then pay for it.\". Hutton ergänzte: \"The wonderful [thing] is that the consumer can decide how much a download is worth. I'm not sure how much just a digital download is worth. I'm not sure 79p - the iTunes price - is the right price.\". Zugleich verteidigte er den Preis von £40 für die Album-Box: \"£40 is huge value for money. How many drinks can you have for £40? Can you go out for a meal for that money?\".
