Bald wieder mit Graham Coxon?

Laut Blur-Bassist Alex James wird es nun wohl tatsächlich bald eine Reunion der Band mit ihrem verlorenen Sohn Graham Coxon geben. Der Gitarrist hatte die Band vor fünf Jahren verlassen, um eine Solo-Karriere zu starten, die aber am Ende eher schlecht als recht lief. In einem Interview mit BBC6 Music sagte James: \\"Funnily enough, people have been talking to each other. I don’t think Graham and Dave (Rowntree) have spoken for quite some time and there’s been a flurry of texting and long chats which is good. I’m very hopeful.\\"

Rückblickend verklärt James die lange Trennung sogar als konstruktive Phase: \\"It’s actually been brilliant to have a bit of time apart from each other. I think we all needed it as people. I think we’d all be unbearable if we’d carried on living that kind of lifestyle. It’s given us all time to find ourselves a little bit. Everyone’s found something to do. Writing the book made me realise how much we kind of do, actually, really love each other. So many bands don't, and they've been together for a long time. Look at The Who. They hate each other! Pink Floyd don’t like each other. I don’t think The Rolling Stones really like each other that much. But I think that we all do, actually, kind of deep down somewhere, want to be friends and like each other.\\" Bei so viel positiven Vibes könnte ja glatt ein tolles neues Album folgen - wenn's denn endlich klappt mit der lange beschworenen Wiedervereinigung. Dann wär's die gefühlte 153. des Jahres...
