Neues Album so gut wie fertig

Man muss sich das so vorstellen: Irgendwo in Nashville, Tennessee, hockt ein vermeintliches und ungleiches Geschwisterpaar in den ausschließlich in rot und weiß gehaltenen Räumlichkeiten des dortigen Blackbird Studios, schiebt den Regler des antiquierten Acht-Kanal-Mischpults hoch und runter, drückt Knöpfe und spult das Band noch mal an den Anfang. Um noch mal zu hören. Viel spannender aber klingt ein Posting auf der Website dieses angeblichen ~~Geschwister~~pärchens. Dort nämlich heißt es: \\"It's their first album to include a title track, which curiously (and not ironically) has the same words in it's [sic] name. Though some residents of Northern England might almost recognise the title, The Stripes stress that they are spelling it wrong intentionally just for 'kicks' and 'metaphors', and to avoid a possible lawsuit from the estate of Billy Eckstine.\\" So schreibt es die Moskauer Korrespondentin Kitayna Ireyna Tatanya Kerenska Alisof, wobei man das Gefühl nicht los wird, dass es sich da eher um eine White Stripes-Borat-Variante handelt.

Auf die blanken Fakten reduziert gibt das kryptische Posting folgendes her: The White Stripes haben den Aufnahme- und Mixingprozess ihres neuen Albums mit dem Titel 'Icky Thump' abgeschlossen. Weiterhin berichtet die angebliche Reporterin: \\"It was the longest time the delightful duo have ever spent in the studio, totalling almost three weeks. Jack and Meg were said to have been looking like they were 'into it almost'. And even Meg herself was quoted while leaving a local Nashville laundromat saying that the record was, in her best estimate, 'finished', 'musical in nature' and lastly, though slightly muffled, 'good'.\\"

Jack und Meg White kommen dann aber offensichtlich auch noch zu Wort. So kolportiert die vermeintliche Stripes-Sprecherin noch folgenden O-Ton: \\"We are doing our best (whatever that is) to release the album as soon as corporately possible. And though we are tired, worn, weary, hungry, cold and left without an ounce of nutrition amongst ourselves, we are in the midst of planning performance type shows around the world.\\"

Bisher gibt es folgende Songtitel, leider aber noch kein konkretes Releasedatum:
'Catch Hell Blues'
'Little Cream Soda'
'Rag And Bone'
'Clicky Bump'
'You Dont Know What Love Is (Just Do As Youre Told)'
'I'm Slowly Turning Into You'
